Linking & Identification · Context

Chase and its vendor act as your agent, not the other institution’s

You acknowledge that when Chase or the Aggregation Vendor provides authorizations to, and requests information from, Linked Accounts, it acts as your agent and not as the agent of the institution that holds the Linked Account. You agree each Linked Account may rely on the authorizations, agency appointment and limited power of attorney you gave to Chase and the vendor. The Aggregation Service is not sponsored or endorsed by any third party.

Canceling Subscriptions: the provider acts as your representative, typically within three business days

The Service Provider will try to cancel the Subscription with your Merchant and, if applicable, request a refund of any unused portion for you (a "Subscription Cancellation"). Once it has the information needed it undertakes the cancellation, which typically takes up to three business days, though some Merchants take longer. You should contact the Merchant directly for status or to request cancellation before the Service Provider completes the request. To perform the Service the Provider contacts your Merchant and, if required, identifies itself as acting as your representative and/or agent with your authority. The Provider will not log into your account with the Merchant and will not represent itself as you.

Linking & Identification · Restriction or exception

Canceling Subscriptions: you authorize the provider, and a started cancellation cannot be stopped

By using the Service you grant the Service Provider permission and authority to communicate with your Merchant on your behalf to cancel the subscriptions, services and/or features you receive from it. After you start a Subscription Cancellation, Chase cannot stop, cancel, reverse or modify it. Once completed, your Merchant may limit your ability to go back to a prior rate or plan. If you contact the Merchant directly to change the account (for example to renew at a promotional rate instead of cancelling) while the request is pending, Chase cannot guarantee the cancellation will not still go through as originally instructed and is not responsible for losses such as losing a new promotional rate. A Merchant may require your verbal confirmation or additional information to verify the provider acts as your agent, and the cancellation cannot be completed until you provide it in the way the Merchant requires.

Supporting quotations

By using the Service to request a Subscription Cancellation, you are granting permission and authority to Service Provider to communicate with your Merchant on your behalf in order to cancel the subscriptions, services and/or features that you receive from the Merchant, in accordance with this Addendum.
After you initiate a Subscription Cancellation through the Service, we cannot stop, cancel, reverse or modify it. Once the Subscription Cancellation has been completed, your Merchant may limit your ability to revert to a prior subscription rate or plan. If you contact the Merchant directly to make account changes (e.g., renewal at a promotional rate offered by the Merchant in lieu of cancellation) while your cancellation request through the Service is still pending, we cannot guarantee that your cancellation will not go through as originally instructed through the Service, and we will not be responsible for any losses (e.g. loss of a newly obtained promotional rate) in connection therewith.
Your Merchant may require your verbal confirmation or additional information to verify that Service Provider is acting as your agent in order to complete your requested Subscription Cancellation. If this is the case, the Service will not be able to be performed and the Subscription Cancellation will not be able to be completed until you provide the additional information or confirmation in accordance with the method required by the Merchant.

Qualifications & exceptions

  • A cancellation request cannot be reversed once started.
