Meta monitors for misuse and may notify, remove content, restrict features, disable accounts or contact law enforcement
Meta says it works to maintain the security of its Products using dedicated teams, external service providers, partners and other relevant entities, and advanced technical systems that detect potential misuse, harmful conduct towards others, and situations where it may help or protect the community, including responding to user reports. If it learns of such content or conduct, it may take action based on its own assessment: notifying the user, offering help, removing content, removing or restricting access to features, disabling an account, or contacting law enforcement. Elsewhere in the Terms, where Meta removes content for violating the Community Standards it says it will tell the user and explain review options, subject to listed exceptions.
Supporting quotations
We employ dedicated teams around the world, work with external service providers, partners and other relevant entities and develop advanced technical systems to detect potential misuse of our Products, harmful conduct towards others, and situations where we may be able to help support or protect our community, including to respond to user reports of potentially violating content.
If we learn of content or conduct like this, we may take appropriate action based on our assessment that may include - notifying you, offering help, removing content, removing or restricting access to certain features, disabling an account, or contacting law enforcement.
we’ll let you know and explain any options you have to request another review, unless you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or if doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our community of users; compromise or interfere with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or Products; where we are restricted due to technical limitations; or where we are prohibited from doing so for legal reasons.
