Inference & Profiling · Company practice
Pinterest infers interests and other attributes from your activity and partner information
Pinterest uses your activity (such as the Pins you click, terms you search for, boards you create and text you add in comments or descriptions), together with information you gave at sign-up and information from its partners and advertisers, to make inferences about you and your preferences. For example, a travel board may lead it to infer you are a travel enthusiast. It may also infer other information such as your education or professional experience.
