Before suing Twitch, send a Notice of Dispute to its agent and allow 60 days

You agree to contact Twitch before initiating a lawsuit related to the Terms or your use of the services, by submitting an informal dispute resolution notice to its registered agent, Corporation Service Company (“CSC”), using the instructions on its Service of Process page. The Notice of Dispute should include the information Twitch needs to investigate and respond, including your name, your Twitch username if registered, a description of the dispute and alleged harm, your contact email address and your attorney's name and contact information if represented. You and Twitch then have 60 days from Twitch's receipt to engage in informal discussions, and to the extent permitted by applicable law you must go through this informal process before starting any formal dispute process. Applicable statutes of limitations are tolled for the 60-day period following Twitch's receipt of the notice.

California law and N.D. Cal. or San Francisco County courts govern disputes

Any dispute, claim or cause of action between the parties is governed by the agreement and the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of or in connection with the Terms or your use of the services must be brought and resolved exclusively in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California or a California state court located in San Francisco County. You expressly submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts, waive any jurisdiction or venue defenses, and agree to service of process by email. The provisions name courts, not arbitration. For residents of the European Union or European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland acting as a Consumer, the choice of governing law does not deprive you of consumer protection provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the laws where you reside, and any disputes or claims relating to the Terms or your use of the services are resolved by a competent civil court in the country where you reside.
