General Terms plus Product Specific Terms govern Services and Software; a separate agreement controls conflicts
The General Terms, together with any applicable Product Specific Terms (a section 1.2 reference), are collectively the Terms. They govern your use of and access to Adobe websites, web-based applications and products, customer support, discussion forums and other interactive areas or services, and services such as Creative Cloud (the Services), and your installation and use of included software such as mobile and desktop applications, Sample Files and Content Files, scripts, instruction sets and related documentation (the Software). If you have agreed to the Subscription and Cancellation Terms, those are also part of the Terms, but they do not apply if you use the Services and Software through Adobe’s Value Incentive Plan (VIP) program; the rest of the Terms still do. If you have entered into another agreement with Adobe concerning specific Services and Software, that agreement controls where it conflicts with the Terms.
Supporting quotations
These General Terms of Use (“General Terms”), along with any applicable Product Specific Terms (see section 1.2 (Product Specific Terms) below) (collectively, the “Terms”) govern your use of and access to our websites, web-based applications and products, customer support, discussion forums or other interactive areas or services, and services such as Creative Cloud (collectively, the “Services”) and your installation and use of any software that we include as part of the Services, including, without limitation, mobile and desktop applications, Sample Files and Content Files (defined below), scripts, instruction sets, and related documentation (collectively, the “Software”)
If you have agreed to the Subscription and Cancellation Terms
then such terms are also considered part of the Terms. If you are using and accessing the Services and Software through Adobe’s Value Incentive Plan (“VIP”) program, then the Subscription and Cancellation Terms do not apply to you, but the remainder of the Terms will govern your use of and access to the Services and Software. If you have entered into another agreement with us concerning specific Services and Software, then the terms of that agreement control where it conflicts with the Terms.
Qualifications & exceptions
The Subscription and Cancellation Terms apply only if you have agreed to them, and not to VIP-program users.
The conflict rule covers only another agreement with Adobe about specific Services and Software, and only where it conflicts.
Not stated here
The content of the Product Specific Terms and the Subscription and Cancellation Terms is not part of this document.

Contracting entity and governing law depend on where you live; local-law rights are not limited where prohibited
Which Adobe company you contract with and which law governs depend on where you live. If you reside in North America (including the United States, Canada, Mexico, U.S. territories and possessions, and U.S. military bases wherever located), your relationship is with Adobe Inc. and California law governs, unless preempted by U.S. federal law and without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you reside outside North America or Japan, your relationship is with Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited and Irish law governs, unless preempted by local law. If you reside in Japan, your relationship is with Adobe KK and Japanese law governs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For customers in Australia, the Irish entity acts as authorized agent for Adobe Systems Pty Ltd. Separately, the terms say you may have additional rights under your local law and that Adobe does not seek to limit those rights where it is prohibited to do so by law. In the Terms, "Adobe", "us", "we" and "our" mean whichever of the four Adobe entities applies.
Supporting quotations
The country and law(s) that this agreement falls under depends on where you live.
If you reside in North America (inclusive of the United States, Canada, Mexico, United States territories and possessions, and United States military bases, wherever located), your relationship is with Adobe Inc., a United States company, and the Terms are governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., unless preempted by U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If you reside outside of North America or Japan, your relationship is with Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, and the Terms are governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of Ireland, unless preempted by local law.

You may have additional rights under your local law. We do not seek to limit those rights where it is prohibited to do so by law.
For purposes of the Terms, “Adobe,” “us,” “we,” and “our” mean either Adobe Inc., Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, Adobe Systems Pty Ltd., or Adobe KK, as applicable.
Qualifications & exceptions
California law applies "unless preempted by U.S. federal law"; Irish law applies "unless preempted by local law".
The additional-local-rights sentence is limited to rights that the law prohibits Adobe from limiting.

Product Specific Terms govern over the General Terms where they conflict; services licensed, not sold
The Services and Software are licensed, not sold, to you, and may also be subject to one or more additional terms (Product Specific Terms, also called Additional Terms). If the General Terms and the Product Specific Terms conflict, the Product Specific Terms govern in relation to those Services or Software. The plain-language summary says product-specific terms always override the general terms; the operative text applies that to conflicts, for the Services or Software the product terms cover. Product Specific Terms can change as described in section 1.5 (Updates to Terms).
Supporting quotations
These are general terms of use that apply to all of Adobe’s products. However, there may also be terms that are specific to the products you use. Product-specific terms always override the general terms.
Our Services and Software are licensed, not sold, to you, and also may be subject to one or more of the additional terms below (“Product Specific Terms”). If there is any conflict between the terms in the General Terms and the Product Specific Terms, then the Product Specific Terms govern in relation to those Services or Software. The Product Specific Terms are subject to change as described in section 1.5 (Updates to Terms) below. Product Specific Terms may also be referred to as Additional Terms.
Qualifications & exceptions
The override operates only where there is an actual conflict and only for the Services or Software the Product Specific Terms cover.
Only the operative text is legally binding; the summary is not.

Receiving an Entitlement from a Business makes you a Business User; the Business can control your profile and Content
If you received an Entitlement (the right to use, access and consume the Services and Software) from a Business under one of Adobe’s business plans (such as Creative Cloud for Teams, Creative Cloud for Enterprise or Document Cloud), you are a Business User of that Business, your Adobe profile for that Entitlement is a Business Profile, and "you" in the Terms means the Business and its Business Users as applicable. Business here includes any commercial entity, government entity, non-profit organization or educational institution. As a Business User you agree that Adobe may give the Business the ability to access, use, remove, retain and control your Business Profile and all Content in it, whether uploaded or imported before or after the Terms were last updated; that your use is governed by the Business’s agreement with Adobe; and that Adobe may provide your personal information to the Business. Users added to a Business’s Admin Console for complimentary Entitlements (Complimentary Services) are also Business Users. If you get Entitlements from several Businesses you may have separate Business Profiles for each. Any other agreements or obligations you have with a Business may affect your Business Profile or Content, and Adobe is not responsible for your violation of them.
Supporting quotations
If you received an “Entitlement” (which is defined as the right to use, access, and consume the Services and Software) from an organization or group, including but not limited to a business or any other commercial entity, government entity, non-profit organization, or educational institution (each, a “Business”) under one of Adobe’s business plans (such as Creative Cloud for Teams, Creative Cloud for Enterprise, or Document Cloud), then (A) you are a “Business User” of such Business; (B) your Adobe profile associated with such Entitlement is a “Business Profile”; and (C) all references to “you” in the Terms will mean such Business and its Business Users, as applicable.
If you are a Business User, you agree that, due to your receipt of Entitlements from such Business, (1) Adobe may provide such Business with the ability to access, use, remove, retain, and control your Business Profile and all Content therein whether uploaded or imported before or after the date the Terms were last updated; (2) your use of the Services and Software is governed by such Business’s agreement with Adobe; and (3) Adobe may provide your personal information to such Business.
Access to complimentary Entitlements (“Complimentary Services”) may be provided to any users added to a Business’s Admin Console (as defined in the [Business Customers Additional Terms](http://www.adobe.com/go/business_terms#_dnt#_nohtml) set forth in Section 1.2) and such users would be considered Business Users.
If you are a Business User with Entitlements from multiple Businesses, you may have separate Business Profiles associated with each Business. As a Business User, you may have different agreements with or obligations to a Business, which may affect your Business Profile or your Content (defined in 4.1). Adobe is not responsible for any violation by you of such agreements or obligations.
“Content” means any text, information, communication, or material, such as audio files, video files, electronic documents, or images, that you upload, import into, embed for use by, or create using the Services and Software.
Qualifications & exceptions
Applies only to people who received an Entitlement from a Business; people with only a personal plan are Personal Users (see the Personal User card).
"Content" is defined in section 4.1 as material you upload, import into, embed for use by, or create using the Services and Software.
The Admin Console meaning is given in the linked Business Customers Additional Terms, which are not supplied here.
Not stated here
What the Business’s own agreement with Adobe requires or allows is not stated here.
The Business Customers Additional Terms that define the Admin Console are not supplied.
Account & Service Control · User right or choice
Personal Users keep sole control of account Content, subject to the Privacy Policy; dual status is possible
If you did not receive Entitlements from a Business (for example you subscribed to a Creative Cloud for individuals plan), you are a Personal User, your Adobe profile is a personal profile, and you maintain sole access and control over all Content in your personal account or profile, except as otherwise indicated in the Privacy Policy. "You" then means you as an individual. If you receive Entitlements both through a personal plan and from a Business, you are both: a Personal User when using the Entitlements from your personal plan, and a Business User when using those provided by the Business.
Supporting quotations
If you did not receive Entitlements from a Business (e.g., you subscribed to a Creative Cloud for individuals plan and received Entitlements through this plan), then (a) you are a “Personal User”; (b) your Adobe profile is a personal profile; (c) you maintain sole access and control over all Content in your personal account or personal profile (except as otherwise indicated in the Privacy Policy); and (d) all references to “you” in the Terms will mean you as an individual.
If you receive Entitlements through a personal plan and from a Business, then you are both a Personal User and a Business User. You are a Personal User when you utilize the Entitlements you obtained through your personal plan, and you are a Business User when you utilize your Entitlements provided by a Business.
Qualifications & exceptions
The sole-control statement is limited by "except as otherwise indicated in the Privacy Policy".

A Business may roll your work-email account into its account and take control after prior notice
If you create an Adobe account with an email address provided or assigned by a Business (such as a work email), and the Business establishes a direct relationship with Adobe, the Business may, with prior notice from the Business or Adobe, roll your account into the Business’s account. The Business may then access the account, take control over it and any Content in it whether stored, uploaded or imported before or after the Terms were last updated, and recommend moving non-Business Content to a new account using a non-Business email address. You also acknowledge that Adobe may provide your personal information (such as name, email address and Entitlement information) to the Business, including its administrator, and Adobe may share information about the Business, such as the administrator’s name and email address, with a Business User. If you do not want a Business to access, use, remove, retain or control an account or profile, do not use a Business email address with it.
Supporting quotations
As a Personal User or a Business User, you may create an Adobe account using an email address provided or assigned to you by a Business (such as your work email address). If the Business establishes a direct relationship with us, they may want to add your account to such relationship. If this happens, the Business may, with prior notice from the Business or us, roll your account into the Business’s account.
This means the Business may (A) access the account; (B) take control over the account and any Content therein whether stored, uploaded, or imported before or after the date the Terms were last updated; and (C) recommend any non-Business Content associated with such account to be moved to a new account that utilizes an email address not associated with such Business.
You, as a Personal User with an Adobe account assigned to a Business or a Business User, also acknowledge that Adobe may provide your personal information to such Business (including, for clarity, sharing your information with an administrator of your Business), such as your name, email address and Entitlement information.
If you do not want a Business to access, use, remove, retain, or control an account or profile, then do not use a Business email address with that account.
Adobe may share information about the Business, such as name and email address of the administrator, to a Business User.
Qualifications & exceptions
Applies to Personal Users and Business Users who use a Business-provided email address for the account.
The roll-up needs the Business to establish a direct relationship with Adobe and requires prior notice.

Adobe says it limits access to your Content, but its Services and Software access Local and Cloud Content to run
Adobe says it respects your rights to your Content and limits its access to it in the ways listed in section 2.2. One listed way is operational use: the Services and Software will access your Local and Cloud Content to enable their normal running, for example allowing Photoshop to open your file so you can edit it. The summary says no one but you owns your content, but Adobe needs access as necessary to operate its applications and services and limits that access to very specific purposes.

Adobe says it does not scan or review Content stored locally on your device
For Content stored locally on your device (Local Content), Adobe says it does not scan or review it, and that your Local Content is never reviewed by Adobe. Supporting quotations
For Content stored locally on your device (“Local Content”), we do not scan or review your Content.
Your Local Content is never reviewed by us.

Cloud Content may be automatically scanned for illegal or abusive content; a person may review flagged items
For Content you have uploaded to Adobe’s servers or created using its cloud-based Services (Cloud Content), the Terms say it may be automatically scanned to make sure Adobe is not hosting illegal or abusive content, such as Child Sexual Abuse Material. The summary adds that the review starts with an automated machine-driven process, and that if automated systems or another user flag an issue, a person may review the content to confirm whether it is illegal or abusive. Screening covers certain illegal content and other abusive content or behavior, for example patterns of activity that indicate spam or phishing.

Unresolved Claims go to small claims court or final, binding arbitration, with exceptions and a 30-day opt-out
If a dispute related to your Claim is not resolved within 30 days of receipt of your Notice, any resulting legal actions must be resolved through either small claims court or final and binding arbitration, including any dispute about whether arbitration is required, subject to the exceptions set out in section 14.5. The plain-language summary says products are meant to support creativity and productivity, not to create AI training datasets, and that, other than the reverse engineering and recreation activities described, you can use Firefly and Adobe’s generative AI tools to generate content for any other legal purpose. Only the operative text is legally binding; the summary’s carve-out names the reverse engineering and recreation activities described below and does not itself mention the machine-learning restriction.
