Visual ID turns images of your face into a stored numeric face profile

On compatible Echo devices with cameras you can choose to create a visual ID so Amazon can recognize you when you are near a supported device or using a supported service. Visual ID uses images of your face to create a numeric representation of your facial characteristics, which the terms acknowledge may be considered biometric data in some locations, and that representation may be updated over time to improve Amazon's ability to recognize you. When your face is detected, Alexa may send a signal to the cloud, for example to deliver reminders and news relevant to you. You can delete your visual ID, together with the stored enrollment images, at any time in your Alexa profile settings.
