Voice ID builds and updates an acoustic model of your voice
Voice ID is optional: you can create one so Alexa can call you by name, recognize you when you speak, and personalize your experience. When you create a voice ID, Alexa uses recordings of your voice to create an acoustic model of your voice characteristics, updates that model over time, and also uses the recordings to improve Alexa's voice recognition capabilities generally. You can delete your voice ID in your Alexa profile settings.
