iCloud Music Library turns on with Apple Music, scans your library, uploads unmatched songs and logs what you play
iCloud Music Library is an Apple Music feature that lets you access your matched or uploaded songs, playlists and music videos, from Apple Music, the iTunes Store or other sources, on your Apple Music-enabled devices. It is turned on automatically when you set up Apple Music. It collects information about your library content, associates it with your Apple Account and compares it with content available on Apple Music; unmatched content is uploaded to Apple's iCloud Music Library servers in a format Apple chooses. When you use it, Apple logs information such as the tracks you play, stop or skip, the devices you use, and the time and duration of playback.
