Premium subscriptions renew and charge automatically
For paid Calm Premium, a recurring subscription renews for your selected period until canceled. You authorize the then-current subscription price plus specified taxes and fees at the start of each period and remain responsible for uncollected amounts if payment fails. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge; third-party purchases must be canceled with that seller.

This section provides terms related to the Services that are only available with a paid subscription (“Calm Premium”).
Recurring Subscriptions. If you purchase a recurring subscription to use Calm Premium (“Recurring Subscriptions”), the subscription will be continuous for the subscription period you select and will automatically renew for another subscription period until canceled. You authorize Calm to automatically charge your designated payment method at the beginning of each subscription period for the then-current price of your Recurring Subscription, along with any applicable taxes and fees specified, unless canceled in accordance with section 4(c). If we are not able to charge your payment method for your Recurring Subscription, you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.
Cancellation. You must cancel your Recurring Subscription at least 24 hours before the end of your current subscription period to avoid being charged for the next subscription period. If you purchased your Recurring Subscription via calm.com, you can cancel at https://calm.com/profile/manage-subscription. If you purchased your Recurring Subscription through a third-party, like an app store, you must cancel the renewal directly with that third-party. Only the primary account holder of a family plan may cancel a family plan subscription. View our support page or contact us by email at support@calm.com if you need assistance with canceling a Recurring Subscription. If you cancel, you are not entitled to a refund for the fees you already paid, but, subject to these Terms, you will continue to receive access to Calm Premium until the end of your current subscription period.

Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal
Cancel web subscriptions through Calm’s manage-subscription page and third-party subscriptions directly with that third party, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Only the primary family-plan holder can cancel that plan. Ordinary cancellation does not refund paid fees and, subject to the terms, access lasts through the paid period. Mandatory legal refunds remain available; for a materially disadvantageous service change or discontinuation, terminating may qualify for a pro rata refund, and qualifying Australian users are entitled to one.

Promotions have eligibility limits and can change
Promotional trials or discounts have specific Offer Terms and eligibility requirements. Unless those say otherwise, offers are only for new customers who never subscribed or used a promotion. Past-subscriber offers require a prior subscription expired before the offer’s stated date. Calm determines eligibility and can modify or cancel offers; claims must be through calm.com before any advertised expiry. The particular Offer Terms are not supplied here.

Promotional Offers Converting to Recurring Subscriptions. You may be offered a promotional offer in connection with a Recurring Subscription, such as a trial period or initial discount (each a “Promotional Offer”). Additional terms specific to each Promotional Offer we offer will be as described in the particular offer (“Offer Terms”). You must meet all eligibility requirements stated in these Terms and the Offer Terms to enroll in a Promotional Offer. Unless stated otherwise in the Offer Terms, Promotional Offers are only for new customers who have not previously subscribed to Calm Premium or enrolled in a Promotional Offer. If the Offer Terms state that an offer is available only to past subscribers, you must have been a subscriber to Calm Premium and allowed your subscription to expire before the date stated in the Offer Terms. Calm reserves the right, in its discretion, to determine your Promotional Offer eligibility, and to modify or cancel a Promotional Offer at any time. Promotional Offers may only be claimed through calm.com by any advertised expiration date.

At the promotional period’s end, Calm may start recurring charges at the then-current subscription price plus applicable taxes unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Use the cancellation channel for your purchase; ordinary recurring billing continues until canceled.

Lifetime means the lifetime of Calm Premium
A lifetime subscription is for one account for the remaining life of Calm Premium, which may be shorter than your life. Features can change, and future services outside Calm Premium are not included. The subscription is personal and cannot be transferred, licensed or sold.

Lifetime Subscriptions. You may purchase a “lifetime” Calm Premium subscription for one account to access Calm Premium for the remaining lifetime of Calm Premium, which may not necessarily be the remainder of your lifetime. The Services may evolve over time and the Calm Premium features available when you enroll in a lifetime subscription may not always be part of Calm Premium. Calm may also launch new Services in the future that are not part of Calm Premium and therefore outside of your lifetime subscription. Any lifetime subscription you purchase is personal to you and may not be transferred, licensed, or sold.

Calm can update and continue charging stored payment methods
Purchases require an accurate, current, acceptable payment method. You authorize the current price and specified taxes and fees, including continued charges after Calm updates payment details from its payment providers. Provider-imposed extra charges are your responsibility. A transaction binds Calm only after Calm accepts and confirms it.

You authorize Calm to charge any purchase to your designated payment method, including the then-current price plus any applicable taxes and fees specified. Try resolving payment disputes with Calm first
Raise transaction concerns with Calm before canceling or reversing charges with your payment provider, unless you have made a reasonable attempt to resolve them directly or applicable law otherwise permits it. Calm may request identity or purchase information and decline or cancel requests, including for suspected fraud or declined payment.

Calm reserves the right to verify your identity or request more information in connection with your purchases, and not to process or to cancel purchase requests, including if we suspect fraud or if your payment method is declined.

Refunds are generally unavailable, with legal and service-change exceptions
Amounts paid to Calm generally are not refundable unless applicable law requires it. The global addendum also allows termination for a service change or discontinuation that unreasonably disadvantages you or significantly disturbs contractual balance; a pro rata refund may be available, and qualifying Australian subscribers are entitled to one for the unused period.

Purchases do not depend on promised features
The terms say purchases are not contingent on delivery of current or future functionality, content or features, or on Calm’s public statements about them. This does not remove the global addendum’s termination and possible refund protections for materially disadvantageous service changes.

Arbitration filing costs depend on who starts it
For arbitration you initiate, you pay the consumer filing fee and Calm pays the remaining JAMS fees and costs. Calm pays all JAMS fees and costs when it initiates arbitration. Coordinated disputes meeting the 25-case threshold instead also invoke the separate JAMS Mass Arbitration Fee Schedule; its details are not supplied here.

(ii) For any arbitration you initiate, you will pay the consumer filing fee and Calm will pay the remaining JAMS fees and costs. For any arbitration initiated by Calm, Calm will pay all JAMS fees and costs.
(vi) JAMS’ Mass Arbitration Procedures and Guidelines and the JAMS Mass Arbitration Procedures Fee Schedule will apply if twenty-five (25) or more similar Disputes are asserted against Calm or against you by the same or coordinated counsel or are otherwise coordinated (such Disputes, “Coordinated Disputes”). Furthermore, such arbitrations will be resolved by the submission of arbitration briefs alone and without the presentation of live witness testimony. In addition to the application of the JAMS’ Mass Arbitration Procedures and Guidelines and the JAMS Mass Arbitration Procedures Fee Schedule, you and Calm understand and agree that Coordinated Disputes may delay resolution of your or Calm’s Dispute.

Apple can refund the app price for an applicable warranty failure
For the Apple app, Calm bears warranties not effectively disclaimed under section 13. If the app fails to meet such a warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the app purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligations; remaining warranty-related claims and losses are Calm’s responsibility. This applies to surviving warranties, not an unconditional subscription-refund promise; section 13 generally disclaims warranties subject to law and written exceptions.

Warranty. We are solely responsible for any warranties, whether express or implied by law to the effect not effectively disclaimed under section 13 of the Terms. In the event of any failure of our app to conform to any applicable warranty not effectively disclaimed under section 13, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for our app; and you agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to our app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be our sole responsibility.
Your use of the Services, including the AI Features and any Output obtained through your use of the AI Features, is at your sole risk. Except as otherwise provided in writing by us and to the extent permitted by applicable laws, the Services, the AI Features, and any Outputs are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Without limiting the foregoing, we explicitly disclaim any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on applicable statutory rights of a consumer, so the exclusion and limitations in this section may not apply to you.
We make no representation or warranty that the Services will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted or error-free basis. We make no warranty regarding the quality, accuracy, timeliness, truthfulness, completeness, or reliability of any of the Services. You assume the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Services to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The following provisions apply if you are accessing or using our mobile app on an Apple Inc. (“Apple”) branded mobile device. Materially disadvantageous service changes permit termination
If a service change or discontinuation unreasonably disadvantages you or significantly disturbs the contractual balance, including essential-feature changes, you can object by ending your account or recurring subscription. Ending the subscription in those circumstances may entitle you to a pro rata refund for its unused portion. This is a conditional remedy, not a refund promise for every change or cancellation.
