Feedback may support health-related inferences with a purpose limit
Calm may collect feedback, survey responses and other information you provide. If you describe how you feel in feedback or messages, Calm may infer health-related characteristics, but says it will process that information only consistently with the purpose for which you provided it.
Supporting quotations
Views and opinions: feedback, survey responses, and other information included within your interactions with us or otherwise provided via the Services. Some users also provide information about how they are feeling in connection with providing feedback or other messages to us; we may infer health-related characteristics from this information but will only process it consistent with the purpose for which it was provided.
Calm derives location and may predict demographics and continued use
Calm derives information from data it has collected, including approximate device location from your IP address. It may guess your gender or age and use collected information to estimate whether you will continue using the services.
Supporting quotations
Derived information: information about you based on other information we have collected. For example, like most platforms, we use your IP address to derive the approximate location of your device. We may make educated guesses about your gender or age. We may also use information we collect about you to help determine the likelihood of you continuing to use the Services in the future.

Sensitive-data and significant-decision profiling rights
Where relevant, users have rights to limit sensitive-data processing or opt out of profiling for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Calm says it does not currently engage in processing that gives rise to those opt-out rights. This is narrower than saying Calm makes no inferences or processes no sensitive data.
Supporting quotations
Where relevant, you also have the right to limit sensitive personal data processing or opt out of profiling for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. However, Calm does not currently engage in processing that gives rise to those opt-out rights.
Cross-references
qualifies (model-proposed): Calm derives location and may predict demographics and continued use — qualifies: The statement that Calm does not currently conduct processing triggering significant-decision profiling opt-outs does not deny its separately disclosed demographic and continued-use predictions; the significant-effect condition limits that statement.

Minnesota third-party lists and conditional profiling rights
Minnesota residents may obtain a list of third parties to whom Calm disclosed personal data. Where Calm uses profiling for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, they may question the result, learn the reason and review the personal data used. This is conditional: the general rights section says Calm does not currently engage in processing that triggers those profiling opt-out rights.
