TikTok honours formal preservation requests for 90 days only if they meet the Guidelines’ criteria

Preservation lasts 90 days, may be extended once by 90 days, then preserved data may be deleted
A preservation request must be on law enforcement letterhead, signed, and must clearly identify the specific user data to be preserved by username, data type and date ranges as in Section 3. TikTok preserves the information for an initial 90-day period and may extend it for one additional 90-day period on receipt of a formal extension request; it says it may not honour multiple extensions beyond that one. If TikTok does not receive formal legal process for the preserved information before the preservation period ends, the preserved information may be deleted when the period expires.
