V-Bucks Card Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions are part of an agreement between you and Epic Games, Inc. (together with its affiliates, "Epic", "we", or "us") regarding use of the V-Bucks card and associated software, services and purchases. Before you use the V-Bucks card, please read these Terms & Conditions. If you purchase and redeem the V-Bucks card, you will be bound by the Terms & Conditions.

As used in these Terms & Conditions, “card” means a gift card (including electronic code, or code on receipt) for V-Bucks to use in Fortnite on any supported device.

  • V-Bucks

Through use of the V-Bucks card, you can purchase, download and access virtual currency solely for use in Fortnite (“V-Bucks”). V-Bucks also include any software used to access the V-Bucks, any content, services, technology, data and other digital materials included in or made available through the V-Bucks or as part of redeeming the V-Bucks card.

  • V-Bucks Cards

2.1. General. After you purchase a V-Bucks card and pay any corresponding price, you may redeem the V-Bucks for your personal use in Fortnite. You are responsible for ensuring before purchase that your device meets any minimum system requirements, including any requirement that we make available on the V-Bucks card or other detail pages. You will be required to input a license key included on the V-Bucks card in order to redeem the related V-Bucks. You are responsible for any internet or other connection charges you may incur in connection with your access and use of the V-Bucks card, V-Bucks and/or Fortnite.

2.2. Epic Accounts. In order to redeem, use or access the V-Bucks, you need to have or create an Epic (as defined below) account. Any information you provide to Epic as part of the account registration process shall be subject to Epic’s privacy policy or similar terms available at https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/privacypolicy.

2.3. All Sales Final; Accessing and Risk of Loss. All purchases of V-Bucks cards are final. We do not accept returns of V-Bucks cards unless indicated otherwise. Once you purchase a V-Bucks card and you redeem it, or the V-Bucks are otherwise made available to you, you are responsible for confirming your ability to access the V-Bucks in Fortnite, and bear all risk of loss after redeeming the V-Bucks card or retrieving the license key, including any loss due to a computer or hard drive malfunction. If you are unable to redeem a V-Bucks card and/or access V-Bucks in Fortnite, please contact Epic’s customer service for assistance at https://www.epicgames.com/customer-service.

  • Use of and Restrictions on V-Bucks

3.1. Information You Provide. We respect your privacy, and we will not access files or other information on any device used to redeem a V-Bucks card which is not used by or otherwise related to the V-Bucks card redemption. The V-Bucks card redemption will provide us with information relating to the access and redemption of the V-Bucks card, as well as information regarding the device on which you redeemed the V-Bucks card. For example, the V-Bucks card redemption process may provide us with information about device type, internet connectivity, location of the device, information about when a redemption occurs, or why a V-Bucks card may not be working.

3.2. Separate Epic Agreement. Your use of V-Bucks in Fortnite will be governed by the terms of service, privacy policy and end user license agreement between you and Epic Games, Inc. ("Epic"). Epic has the right to enforce these agreements against you. If you choose not to accept an Epic agreement, you must not use Fortnite or seek to use the V-Bucks cards and/or redeem the V-Bucks. This Agreement does not amend or supersede any license or other agreement between you and Epic. Fortnite and V-Bucks are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties. Epic owns the title, copyright and other intellectual property rights in Fortnite and V-Bucks, and access to Fortnite and the V-Bucks are licensed, not sold, to you.

3.3. Compliance with Law. You will use the V-Bucks cards in compliance with all applicable laws, including all export and re-export restrictions and regulations of the Department of Commerce and other United States agencies and authorities that may apply.

  • General

4.1. Changes. We may modify, suspend or discontinue Fortnite and V-Bucks, in whole or in part, at any time without notice or liability.

4.2. Geographic Restrictions. The V-Bucks cards are offered from the United States for use in Fortnite. We may restrict access to the V-Bucks cards from other locations.

4.3. Compatible Devices. Fortnite is currently available on the following platforms: PlayStationPlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, NintendoNintendo Switch™, PC, Mobile (compatible with devices running 64-bit Android on an ARM64 processor, Android OS 8.0 or higher, minimum 4GB of RAM, and GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher.)

4.4. Suspension and Termination; Waiver; Amendments. Your rights under these Terms and Conditions will terminate without notice from us if you fail to comply with the terms. In case of such termination, you must cease all use of the V-Bucks card, and we may immediately revoke your access to any redeemed V-Bucks or Fortnite without notice to you and without refund of any purchases. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with the Terms & Conditions will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights. We may amend any of these Terms & Conditions at our sole discretion by posting the revised terms. Your continued use of the V-Bucks card or any redeemed V-Bucks after the effective date of the revised Terms & Conditions constitutes your acceptance of the terms as revised.

4.6. Disputes/Binding Arbitration. Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to the Terms & Conditions is subject to the binding arbitration, governing law, disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability and all other terms in the Epic Terms of Service available at https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/tos. You agree to those terms by entering into these Terms & Conditions or purchasing and/or redeeming a V-Bucks card.

4.7. Limitation of Liability. Without limiting the Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability in the Epic Terms of Service, in no event will our total liability to you for all damages arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the V-Bucks card exceed the total amount you paid for the V-Bucks card related to your claim for damages. These limitations will apply to you even if the remedies fail of their essential purpose.
